Hello.

Welcome to my website. I'm grateful that you're here and considering me as a potential source of support.

Many of us carry unresolved pain that manifests in our adult lives and prevents us from living fully. Inner child work is a powerful, transformative process that will allow you to connect with the vulnerable parts of yourself that have been neglected, hurt, or silenced. I specialize in helping women (and youth) explore the roots of these wounds so they can break free from patterns that keep them feeling stuck. If you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, life stress, self-esteem issues, challenging family dynamics or relationships, the effects of narcissistic abuse, self-harm or suicidal ideation, or grief and loss, it would be my privilege to walk alongside you on your journey toward healing and wholeness.

I believe that people start to heal the moment they feel heard. My work is relational, trauma-informed and attachment-based. My aim is to offer a safe and compassionate space where we can work collaboratively to rebuild your self-trust, foster self-compassion, transform how you relate to yourself and others, and develop the emotional tools needed to move forward with greater confidence and inner peace.

To provide personalized care, I combine therapeutic modalities that I have learned through various professional developments. Most often my adult clients find solace in approaches such as Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I a, also trained as a Narcissistic Abuse Treatment Clinician. When working with children, I utilize a combination of IFS, EMDR, play, art, and sand tray therapies while simultaneously providing Peaceful Brain-Body parenting support and coaching to caregivers. With your permission, my dog Heidi, may join our sessions to offer additional comfort and support.

I’m here to support you in reclaiming your voice, your power, and your true self. Thank you for taking your time to explore my site to learn more about me and my approach. If you’re ready to start your healing journey, please reach out for a free consultation so we can discuss more about how we can work together to help you cultivate a compassionate relationship with yourself. I look forward to the opportunity to connect with you!

In kindness,

Individual.

Individual counselling allows clients to explore their feelings, behaviours, emotions, and beliefs in a safe, caring, and confidential setting. When a bond is formed between client and counsellor, the trust and rapport developed can create an environment that promotes self-exploration and personal growth.

 Parenting.

Trained by Dr. Laura Markham as a  Peaceful Parent Coach, this approach focuses on fostering a positive, calm, and respectful relationship between parents and child(ren) while prioritizing open communication, empathy, and non-violent resolution to conflict. This ultimately works to generate an emotional connection with your child that creates real and lasting change.

Children.

Through the use of play, art, and sand-tray, child clients  can learn new coping strategies, gain an awareness and understanding of their feelings, find solutions to specific problems, increase their self-awareness and self-esteem, and reduce feelings of distress. Through the support of play-based activities, children can engage in EMDR and IFS.

EMDR.

EMDR encourages clients to focus briefly on a trauma memory while simultaneously experiencing frequent bilateral stimulation (e.g., tapping, eye movement), which is associated with a reduction in the vividness and emotion associated with the trauma memories.

IFS.

My practice is IFS informed. IFS supports clients in identify and understanding the "Parts" that make up their internal family system. With awareness, clients can acknowledge their Parts emotions, with the goal of releasing these feelings so they are freer to address the actual problem, and ultimately find more positive ways to manage conflicts.
